JAY MATTHEWS METAL ART 

Jay was born on the Central Coast of California surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, rolling vineyards, and mossy oak trees. Early in his youth, Jay discovered his natural talent and passion for metal engineering and fabrication. Quickly, he perfected his self-taught talents and began hand crafting award-winning custom automobiles.

Over the next 40 years, his experiences and colorful perception of the world have fused together to create vivid abstract designs filled with expressive color and textures. Forged by heat and fire, each design emerges from the ashes into a brilliant display of color, emotion, and energy. Each piece is built with individual layers, on their own misunderstood. Once merged together they narrate the life journey and imagination of the artist, but undoubtedly they release emotion felt by many or just one seeking its own dimension, expression.
